Martin Quinn
Location: Livingston
Contact Number: 07946 536 456
I have been folding for 20 years and have travelled to (and taught at) multiple origami conventions in multiple countries, both in person, and online. I have taught smaller sessions from couples celebrating their Paper Wedding anniversary, children's birthday parties, charity groups, wellness and stress relief sessions. I have also taught origami in more commercial settings such as awaydays, end of training "graduation" days. These sessions can be for team building "just a bit of fun" or have a more focussed session that's more about demonstrating communication skills. I'm based in Livingston but happy to cover most of Central Scotland and possibly a little further (by arrangement).

Special interest in teaching children, art, mathematics & education. Qualified teacher. Former BOS general secretary and editor. Extensive experience of running events for teachers, learners and general public: workshops, demonstrations and talks.
Origami techniques can create exciting effects when used in fabric. From a few basic folds come endless permutations of geometric patterns. When joined together as 3D patchwork they are ideal for wall hangings quilts cushions jackets or waistcoats. I also make origami boxes in fabric-covered paper and I can give lectures and workshops on this technique. Willing to travel 50 miles.
