Meeting other folders is a great experience, and one of the best places to do it is at a convention. These are heaven for folders everywhere! New members are made especially welcome, as are children and “non-folding” partners. Our experience of virtual events has allowed us to look at new ways to offer such events.

Our next convention  will be in Edinburgh (23 to 25 August), with special guests Francesco Mancini and Tetsuya Gotani.

Inevitably, the folding appetites of many people are not satisfied entirely by two conventions a year, so the we also offer local meetings, called “mini-meetings”, generally once a month. These meetings are mostly informal with about a dozen people attending on average.

Folds are taught, stories exchanged and a good time is had by all. Or bring along any new (or old!) books you have found, any folds you are struggling with, any origami memorabilia and show them to other local members.
