Conventions

Meeting other folders is a great experience, and one of the best places to do it is at a convention. These are heaven for folders everywhere! New members are made especially welcome, as are children and “non-folding” partners, but you do not need to be a member to attend. Our experience of virtual events has allowed us to look at new ways to offer such events.

Our next convention is Nottingham University, 11th – 13th September 2026.
We’re delighted to welcome: Michał Kosmulski from Poland, and a young UK folder, Peter Croall from Colchester, as our special guests.

Booking is now closed – the convention is sold out. If you still want to attend you can join the waiting list

Mini-meetings

Inevitably, the folding appetites of many people are not satisfied entirely by two conventions a year, so the we also offer local meetings, called “mini-meetings”, generally once a month. These meetings are mostly informal with about a dozen people attending on average.

Folds are taught, stories exchanged and a good time is had by all. Or bring along any new (or old!) books you have found, any folds you are struggling with, any origami memorabilia and show them to other local members.

Meetings take place in Birmingham, Chipping Norton, Essex, London, Manchester, the North East, Scotland, Sheffield, Slough, Sussex and York. Details are shown in our members area.
