Simple Model of the week – traditional crown

Celebrate the coronation of King Charles III this weekend with this super easy classic origami crown. This is a simple model, ideal for beginners so even if you’ve not folded origami before you can make your own.

You’ll need a square of paper, ideally something shiny like wrapping paper, or brightly coloured. Start with the main colour of your crown facing down.

To make one to fit an adult head try a square of paper with a side around 40cm, or go a little smaller to crown younger kings and queens!
