Everyone teaching origami needs super easy, fun models to teach, so we’re kicking off our new simple models of the week series with some tried and tested designs that are guaranteed crowd pleasers.

The Banger is a favourite because anyone can make it, and because the result is pure fun.

If you are going to teach this model it works best with a bigger sheet of paper – A3 copy paper is ideal. There are lots of ways to add extra fun – why not try the classic shoot out where people sit opposite each other and compete to see who can refold their banger and fire it the fastest.

If you are teaching this to a group, especially young people or children or if you are teaching in a public place, do be sensitive to those who maybe don’t like sudden loud bangs.
