Simple model of the week – A4 Box

This traditional model is one of the easiest origami boxes around, and the folding finishes with a “magic” last step to transform a flat sheet of paper into the three dimensional model. For an extra challenge try cutting a sheet of paper in half and see how small you can fold one. A5 is easy too, but how much smaller can you go? Or try different materials like cardboard for a stronger box.
This model is tried and tested for teaching to complete beginners, with no tricky folds it’s a great model for very young folders to start with. Click here to see the diagrams, just one of the simple models available for free on our website.
