#Gomodular Day 17 – Cubocthedron by Lee Armstrong

Diagram for this model

Lee is better known for his figurative models, but this is a rare venture into geometric origami for him. He says “I designed a simple bowl, and Dave Mitchell suggested to me it was one quarter of a cubocthedron. Of course he was right!”

The unit is three dimensional, and you just need to “weave” 4 of them together to make the model.

Paper tips – for a first try use 15cm standard origami paper, but it will also fold well out of smaller 7.5cm squares.

If you just want to make the bowl, use a ticker paper so that the paper thickness helps your model hold in shape.
