#Gomodular day 11 – Modular 3b by Denver Lawson

Denver Lawson is a creator of highly original modular designs unlike anything else in origami. But he can also discover models that make other creators say “why didn’t I think of that?” This model is easy to fold (each unit is a blintzed bird base) and unlike many 3d modulars, the assembly is easy too.

We love that this model looks great if you peek inside, and that such an interesting shape is made out of just 6 simple units.

Taking it further: We discovered that there are other possibilities with this unit – below is a simple variation using just 3 units. Can you make it? How about just 2 units?! What other forms are possible?
