The British Origami Society is delighted to announce that we’ll be hosting a two-day online partnership event with OrigamiUSA as part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations.
Introduction
This event will bring together our two organizations, celebrating our shared passion for origami, showcasing 32 designers, and uniting folders from across the globe.
The event will take place April 3, 2027, 1:30 pm GMT+1 to April 4, 2027, 11:00 pm GMT+1.
Each of our special guests will be teaching one of their own designs on either Saturday (UK time) or Sunday (UK time).
Highlights
- Two consecutive days of classes.
- Live classes with 32 special guests.
- Two-track class format, featuring designs of varying complexity in both geometric and figurative styles.
- A chance to meet and fold with well-known designers.
- A WhatsApp group to share photos of your folds.
Prices/Registration
The convention fee of £30 (GBP) will give access to the online classes and recordings of all sessions post event. Registration will open September 1, 2026, 12:00 am GMT+1 with a 10% Early Bird discount available through the end of 2026 by entering the discount code EarlyBird10 at checkout.

Zoom links for the event and recordings of each session will be emailed to you. Please check your junk/spam email folder if you don’t receive a confirmation of your booking, and mark the email as a safe sender, to ensure that you don’t miss anything.
Please note that the British Origami Society requests that children under the age of 13 attending this online event should be accompanied by a responsible adult who has a duty of care to that person, in accordance with our safeguarding policy(link is external).

Volunteering
We’re looking for a number of volunteers to act as facilitators, both hosts and tech managers. If you have previous experience at similar online events and would like to apply, we’d be pleased to hear from you before October 1, 2026, 12:00 am GMT+1. We’re asking facilitators to manage two (or more) classes, and if you’re accepted, we’ll provide a discount code to reduce your vCon ticket by 50%. Please apply here.(link is external)
